So, it’s the end of January. Is your Christmas tree still up?

Ours isn’t, either. I mean, seriously. What kind of slacker losers would still have their Christmas Tree up at the end of January? Certainly not this family! Nope, no Christmas trees anywhere near Casa Chaos, you can be sure of that!

But hey! Look at this great CHAUCER tree we’ve assembled in honor of Geoffrey Chaucer’s “Parlement of Fowles”, the bird debate poem that is the first time in literature that St. Valentine’s Day is explicitly named as February 14:

The Chaucer Tree

See? Just Birds and Valentines... not a Santa Claus in sight!

There's a Valentine for everybirdy on the Chaucer Tree!

Ahhhh, Tercel. When Will You Learn? Maybe THIS Year, She'll Accept You.... Or, Maybe Not...

Chaucer and Nature, Sitting In A Tree....

So, there – you see? NOT a Christmas Tree. A CHAUCER tree. I’m not a Slacker Mommy With No Time… I’m an Excellent Medievalist with Imagination!
