Reviews: I do book reviews! Send me your published work, and I’ll read it and tell everyone what I think right here in the Cauldron, and send you a copy of the review as well. (Query me first – I’m picky. Don’t query at all if you’ve written smut, no matter how awesome it is – that’s what I have a husband for.) It hardly bears repeating, but as a reminder I am inordinately fond of fantasy, mythology, folklore, historical fiction set between Classical Greece and the end of the 16th century or in the 19th century, and anything with a dragon in it.

I’m not big on machines, guns, metal and hardware – unless there’s a dragon involved somewhere (i.e. Temeraire).

I liked Sex and the City. Aside from that, I have yet to read a Chick Lit title I found compelling in the slightest. That does NOT mean I don’t read it, ever. If yours is really great, I’ll give it a great review. I’m picky, but very fair.

I will almost certainly agree to read and review your nonfiction medieval studies title, or nonfiction works dealing with Arthuriana, monsters/ the monstrous, and magic/the supernatural.

To be safe, best to query me first. Also, tell me I get to keep the book. I’ll do it anyway, so you may as well resign yourself. And sign the book before you send it, if you’re sending me a hard copy. I find that a charming touch.

In response, I will post my review within a month of receiving the title; faster, if it’s really great. My review includes tags and links to Twitter, Facebook, and your book’s Amazon page. All total, at present you will be averaging approximately 42,000 immediate notifications to my readers and followers via WordPress, Twitter, Facebook and Triberr, plus the followers of those followers – not too shabby for a single postage mark or download.

Don't You Know Writers Need Validation? If I End Up Depressed, It Will Be Because You Didn't Comment On a Post, And I Don't Think You Want To Live With That Guilt.
