Great! I am retired from a University in MS, Diversity Officer. Taught psychology at the community college level for years…I like this level. Also taught in high school and university…English, creative writing, speech and special education.
Love Richmond and the area! so glad I have found you. You were lost to my world until today.
I’m glad you’re glad to stumble on my blog! I hope you continue to enjoy it.
) Richmond is a really wonderful little city, especially the older areas. Gorgeous architecture!
From this list, I’d probably enroll in Greek and Roman Art & Architecture, AP Art History: Medieval & Renaissance Art, and Wicked Women in Literature (Witches and Bitches). I once surprised my college classmates by taking up a humanities class that wasn’t listed in our engineering prospectus. They thought I was nuts for wanting an extra load of stuff that wasn’t required. I have no regrets; that class allowed me to develop a deeper and wider appreciation of architecture, arts, and technology.
I firmly believe that taking courses that interest you, whether they are “in your field” or not, is always a win-win situation. I think people tend to get too wrapped up in “requirements” and forget that education is about developing the whole individual, not merely learning a trade/skill!
)
